Chris Bordeaux

Passion for the outdoors and pursuit of fish and game were defining elements of Chris Bordeaux’s development as a youngster in Bladen County, NC. Growing up in a small ranch home in the middle of a crop field, Chris spent most of his leisure time hunting, fishing, and building values gleaned from treasured neighbors in his community. While his hunting skills were slow to develop, he eventually stumbled into a brotherhood with a true and lifelong friend who helped him to develop his hunting and fishing prowess and more fully appreciate the value of good land stewardship.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil Conservation (1994) and a Master of Science degree in Soil Science (2010) attained from North Carolina State University. Chris’ desire to serve others lead him into public service. Utilizing soil resources to protect water quality was a driving force which lead him to his first career as an Environmental Health Specialist in Wayne County, NC. He also served as District Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Lenoir, Greene, Onslow, and Bladen Counties throughout a 12 1/2 – year USDA engagement. Chris eventually transitioned into the private sector serving in an ecoservices project development capacity for ~9 years, broadening his perspectives and allowing him to improve his technical and analytical skills. Chris enjoys remote sensing, property research, conservation easement consultation, land resource assessment, land purchase negotiation, and assisting clients with efficient options to fulfill their land ownership goals.

These experiences and proficiencies enable Chris to effectuate critical thinking skills. Asking the right questions at critical junctures when assessing property and negotiating on behalf of his clients are essential attributes that Chris provides his clients.
